Another order which tested our skills. Arched windows with various radii typical for Arabic world. One of the historical buildings became an information centre with expositions describing the history of the citadel to the visitors. The project was set up and carried out as part of a help to save cultural heritage of the Republic of Iraq.

Erbil with its population of 925,000 inhabitants (2009) is the fourth largest city in Iraq after Baghdad, Basra and Mosul. The first signs of a settlement are 150,000 years old and the history of citadel in the city centre reaches back over 7,000 years, which makes it one of the oldest continuously inhabited residences in the world.
